It's Chick Eve....

Today my people came again.  I think they're confused. They put up a new coop last week, but today they built another one.  At first I thought they were bringing in 1,000 baby chicks, but they say no.  They say there's just 7.  I'm not gonna believe it until I see it.  The new coop is not normal.  It's a triangular prism.  Yeah!  I know math!  Did you think I didn't?  Shame on you.  I told you I am a genius.  Guess you just didn't believe me.

I had to perch on top of it just to show who the boss is.  I even took an artistic shot.

Pretty sure I could be a chicken model.  I don't think there has ever been a chicken model.  Watch out world.  Here comes Edgar, the world's first chicken model.

Tomorrow I'll have neighbors living in that geometry house.  I'm a little nervous and a little excited.  As long as they know who the boss is.

I'm TUFF!

Check me out!  I'm tuff now.  Maybe.  Today it rained.  A lot.  My people were helping clean my estate and doing some renovations, so they let me roam for a couple of hours.  It rained a little and then a whole bunch.  They all went and sat in their rolling houses.  Not me.  I just walked around and shook like a dog once in a while.  That's when I got the cool spike feathers.  My next career is probably gonna be a rock star.  Those new chickens could be my band.

Relaxing Garden Time

Well, first off, sorry I didn't write the past two days.  I was in some trouble for treating PoPo so meanly.  My person grounded me from technology.  He says it happens to his kids too when they're mean.  I learned my lesson.  No more mean momma.

I needed to calm down, so I went across the sidewalk to my garden.  It is amazing!  I have so much stuff in there.  The collard greens are my favorite food in the entire world, and my garden has a ton.  It is like a dessert bowl that doesn't end.

There is some gross stuff in there though.  Broccoli?  Chard?  Brussels Sprouts?  What bird eats that stuff?  I'll tell you.  A bird that does not know what tastes good.  That's who.  Not Edgar.  No way.  I just strut past that junk.  I get full and go look at the flowers.  They always relax me.  I tried eating them once, but it was really weird.  It was like eating one of my own feathers.  Now I just stand by them and breathe deeply to relax and feel calm.  I need that now.  I miss my students.

I'm a Momma!! Part 2

I think I should finish my story from yesterday.  I don't really want to, but honesty is important.  After I met cute PoPo, all of her friends started taking my stuff.  I looked over and saw them drinking my water.  MY water!  How dare those mini fluff balls!

No little creatures are gonna do that to Edgar, so I overreacted.  It was not pretty, but I was upset and did not control myself.  I pecked at their beaks.  I even got one or two of them.  I'm not proud of what I did.  Neither was my person.  He put me in time out.  Me.  In time out?  Yes.  Ugh.

If I see them again, I'm gonna tell them that that other chicken house is for them.  Also, I'll be nicer.  I promise.

I'm a Momma!! Part 1

Today my people brought me something very interesting.  I looked out my coop and saw and heard this:

Could it be?  Was it really her?  It was!  It was my daughter!  My person, the one who I boss around  to do stuff for me, told me her name is PoPo.  He said something about it was the last name of the author I'm named after, but I think it's because her feathers look like a police car.  She is really cute, but that's not surprising.  I'm her momma, and I am the best looking chicken you know.  My person held us both so she could meet me too.

I can't wait to teach her all the genius stuff I know.  It's a lot.  The first lesson will probably start tomorrow.  I'm not sure what it will be about, so I'll sleep on it.

New House, I think

Happy Tuesday!  My people gave me a surprise today.  They brought a brand new second home for me.  It is right next to my first house.  I'll be honest.  I'm a little confused.  I like my first house.  It is comfortable, large, and it suits me fine.  I did stand on top of it just to show everyone that I'm the boss of that one too.

I don't think I wanna leave my eggs in that house.  Maybe something else is happening, but I am still in charge.

My people did let me explore the garden for a long time today while they worked.  I really like it in there.  There are so many delicious snacks everywhere.  None are tastier than those collard greens.  YUM!!!!  I can not get enough.  They do taste waaaaaaay better when I eat them straight from people's hand.  It's my way of letting them know how important I am.  Don't you forget it.

Introductions

Howdy all.  I'm Edgar.

I know it's rather a strange name for a girl, but that's my name.  I think it came from an author, but I'm not sure.  I was born on September 16th.  That's an easy birthday to remember because I thought for sure there would be 16 of us.  14 of us chicks came that day, and I'm the only one left.  That's just how I like it.  I'm the boss.  I'm in charge of the whole world, and I'm pretty good at it.

I live at my school. It's probably the best school in the entire state.  I do miss my kids.  They don't come around any more.  That's why I started this blog.  Now they can all check in on me and ask me questions.  I know most everything chickens can know, so I can't wait to show how smart I am.
